Why is having a professional website so important for your event planning business?
As an event planner, having a website can be an essential tool for your growing business.
First and foremost, a website can help increase the visibility of your business. In today's online era, more and more people are turning to the internet to find wedding and event planners. By having a website, you'll be more easily found by potential clients searching for your services online.
In addition to increased visibility, a professionally designed website can also lend credibility to your business. Potential clients may be more likely to trust and hire an event planner with a well-designed website, rather than one without an online presence or a sketchy looking one.
In addition to making it easier to connect with your ideal clients, having a website can also make your business appear more professional. In today's competitive market, having an online presence can be a key factor in establishing yourself as a serious player in the event planning industry.
Finally, a website is a great platform for showcasing your portfolio and highlighting your skills as an event planner. You can use your site to display photos and descriptions of past events you've planned, helping to demonstrate your expertise and attract more clients.
I recently had an absolute honour of working on a website redesign for Woven & Revel. Scroll down for a full case study of our journey.
a Case Study
As a brand and web designer, I was SO excited to work with Meg and Cait, the owners of "Woven and Revel Events," to create an elevated online presence for their business and refresh their visual identity. Meg and Cait had been in the event planning industry for a long time, through which they had built a successful business. Over the years they refined their skills and aesthetics, and with that, their target audience changed as well. They initially reached out because their old website no longer reflected the premium service they offer. They felt uneasy sending their potential clients to their site because they felt it was outdated and confusing.
We worked together to create a visually appealing and user-friendly site that showcased their services and past events. The website included high-quality photographs, easy navigation, and clear calls to action to encourage potential clients to get in touch. Combined with their new brand identity the project resulted in an engaging and aesthetic website the clients feel confident in maintaining and proud to show off.
In addition to the convenience factor, the website has also helped to reflect the credibility as a luxury event planner. Potential clients can view photographs and read testimonials from past events, which helps to build trust and confidence in their ability to deliver high-quality events.
Overall, it was a great pleasure to work with Meg and Cait and I cannot wait to see where their business journey takes them.
Squarespace Web Design
Squarespace is our specialty. The clients old website was built on a SS 7.0 and they found it really hard to maintain and edit. So we decided to built the new one on SS 7.1 with the new editor that is a lot more intuitive and works on a drag and drop system. After the handoff we always equip our clients with help guides and video tutorials so they can feel comfortable making edits in the future.
We created a more dynamic and more image based layout, to diversify the text heavy content. We designed with a clear client journey in mind and placed the call to actions strategically. The overall feel of the new website is more fresh and represents the premium service Meg and Cait provide to their audience.
In summary, having a professionally designed website is a very valuable asset for any event planning business. It helps increase visibility, credibility, serve as an effective marketing tool, facilitate communication with clients, and showcase your skills and portfolio. Most importantly it allows you to position yourself as the expert in the industry which increases your perceived value.
Brand Identity Design
‘‘ We are so thankful for Ana in so many ways. She elevated our website into a brand we're proud of and have worked so hard to achieve. There's no better feeling then investing in yourself and loving the end product so THANK YOU! She also always went above and beyond with all of our requests, which didn't go unnoticed. Allow her to take your brand to the next level -- You won't regret it! ‘‘
